Burnel Rooms
The Burnel Rooms is our alternative part underground club, part Parisian jazz cafe, part speakeasy artistic space situated within its own venue space of the Bradford Playhouse. The Burnel Rooms is a satellite space, featuring its own entrance, bar, chill out rooms and has a 100 person capacity.
The space allows students to explore alternative avenues and forms of working in theatre; to better prepare them for the wide variety of spaces they will perform in during their future careers.
Intended as a blank canvas, with all the support required for students to prosper, this room is used throughout the year by Visual Artists, renowned Musicians and Immersive Theatre Practitioners from around the world. Hosting events like the Threadfest festival, which sees up to thirty events take over the entire building over a three day period!
Established in 2015 we have hosted acts including:

Vison Fortune (ATP recordings)
Blood Sport (Blast First records)
Giant Swan
Drunk In Hell
Maurizio Abate (Italy)
